All of this is…fine, but claw hammer made me cringe; the striking surface is cylindrical, so it’s going to leave a million tiny crescent shaped marks that you’ll have to file and grind FOREVER.

I've found quenching rebar in ice water locks in the carbon better. But since rebar can be a mystery with what is actually in there, your mileage may vary.

Sharp blades easily get stuck in bone. Horse sabers were not that sharp.
